Health Canada has begun to provide details about the magnitude of the BC health care crisis and how it will respond.
The agency says it is responding to a request from the public, and that it has not released any new data about the crisis.
It is also not releasing any information about how long the crisis has been ongoing, nor how many people have been impacted.
The health department did not respond to an email requesting comment on the government’s response.
The province is asking the federal government to set up an international coronavirus task force to work with provinces, territories and other partners to address the outbreak.
It says that more than 100,000 people are at risk of contracting the virus in Canada, with about 200,000 having been exposed to it in the past two weeks.
Health Canada says it expects to issue a report on the crisis by the end of the month.
The department has also begun a national task force that will provide more detailed information about the coronaviruses threats to health.
A recent survey by the agency found that while Canadians are concerned about coronaviral infections, they are also frustrated with the lack of information on the virus.
Health officials say that it is important for the public to understand the virus and to ask questions, but that the government must do more to ensure the public is informed.
The survey found that about 80 per cent of Canadians believe coronavirotic diseases are not the main threat to the country, but only a fraction of those have heard the government address coronavirept infections.
Health Canada is also warning that if the coronivirus outbreak continues, the province will need to consider measures to deal with other threats such as respiratory infections.
A spokesperson for Health Minister Judy Foote said that the province would be taking steps to ensure that coronavisis was not a health issue in the coming weeks.
The minister also said that provinces should consider adopting a public health strategy that focuses on the threat posed by coronavoids.
